Experts to Gather In Amsterdam on February 23rd-24th to Discuss How to Devise and Deploy Interoperable Fleet Solutions
11 December 2009
Penetration of fleet management systems in Europe is estimated to increase from its current rate of 4% to 12% by 2013, according to research analysts Berg Insight. However, the fleet telematics & fleet ICT industry must overcome several industry challenges before adoption of active fleet management systems increase.

Fleet owners recognise the value of vehicle-based telematics systems that will reduce CO2 emissions, monitor fuel consumption and lower costs but a slowing economy is preventing them from making valuable investments and driver behaviour.

Additionally, the European Commission recently announced several new legislations that will affect the Fleet & Asset Management space, but, the value chain is still unclear on how to successfully deploy solutions that comply with the latest acts.

Over the past 18 months, interest and investment in fleet insurance telematics has experienced significant growth as well. However, many fleet service providers are still confused on how they should position their offerings to attract valuable partnerships.

The annual Fleet & Asset Management Europe 2010 Conference & Exhibition, February 23rd – 24th 2010, Amsterdam, Netherlands is uniquely positioned to give the fleet telematics community answers to these complex business challenges mentioned above.

Over 25 of the industry’s leading names will present their views on these crucial issues and share their secrets to market dominance. The speaker line-up will include Shell, TNT, Scania, UPS, Iveco, Qualcomm, the European Commission, GE, Daimler FleetBoard amongst several others.

The conference will unite end-users, telematics service providers, fleet OEMs, integrators, software developers, device makers, wireless carriers, consultants, government representatives and many other key partners to debate and dissect the most crucial industry challenges and provide solutions. The programme will cover green fleet telematics, the future of open platform technology, advanced remote diagnostics, fleet ICT integration, next-gen wireless technologies and much more.
