30 June 2009

Multimap, a wholly owned subsidiary of Microsoft, has renewed its contract with deCarta.

Multimap has been working with deCarta since 2007 and uses deCarta's Drill Down Server (DDS) as its core underlying geospatial platform to provide its B2B and B2C mapping and driving directions services. Multimap's industry-leading services rely on deCarta's highly scalable technology to integrate a wide variety of map content and to serve up millions of maps and directions with quality and speed.

"It's a great endorsement for deCarta that such a prestigious company as Multimap has chosen to continue to run its core business offering on our technology" said J. Kim Fennell, President and CEO of deCarta. "As the Location-Based Services market evolves and expands at a rapid pace, we look forward with providing Multimap with the very best technology and support in the industry."
