BMW launches ‘intelligent service’ in Singapore
18 January 2009

The BMW TeleServices system is now available in Singapore on the new BMW 7 series, through Performance Motors.

This networking system between the vehicle and BMW Service Partner comprises more than seventy control units in the vehicle that continuously monitor all elements that are crucial to the proper running and safety of the vehicle.

In the event that a need for service or in rare cases a fault is detected, a toll-free call is automatically initiated without any driver intervention. This data call sends service-relevant information to Performance Motors, who then analyses the data and calls the customer to schedule a service appointment.

This enables the service centre to order any parts and components that might be required so that they're available when vehicle arrives for its service.

The customer is also informed in advance what type of service is required and how long it will take.
