Are fuel costs driving supply chain strategy in reverse?

Oil. It's the driving force behind the the globalised economy - countries have gone to war for it and without it, almost all industries grind to a frictioned halt. But at over $150 a barrel, no other organisations are quite as anxious about the rise in fuel prices as those in the road transportation industry.

Cleaner, cheaper and pretty darn electrifying fleets

We hear about biodiesel and low-emission fuel alternatives a lot at the moment.

Don't get me wrong  ...  thats a good thing  -  I'm just as much a fan of the ozone layer as the next man.

After attending the CV show, however, I came face to bumper with a vehicle about which I'd heard a lot less than I think I should have.

Have a look at this  -  manufactured for zero emissions yet performance the same as for a truck. Plus, can you imagine the savings on fuel costs?
